![]() I have been amazed with how things have changed during this pandemic. My work has not been affected as I work alone and mostly outside. I have been respectful of my client’s needs and we always keep a safe distance from one another. The times I notice the changes is when I shop for supplies, whether at the nurseries or the building supply outlets. The local stores limit the number of customers who can be in their stores. One nursery has closed off their office and use a bucket that they drop down with the paperwork. As in most places, the restaurants are closed for take out or delivery only. I wonder how much financial strains are placed upon these businesses. One restaurant in town offers patrons’ grocery supplies along with take out. One even offers a free role of toilet paper with each order. I wonder what the future will bring for businesses when they can re-open. For now, home improvement projects have ramped up as many are working from home or taking time off all at the same time! Some building supply stores are realizing record business during these past few months. I feel fortunate to be able to work while limiting exposure to my clients. We are all staying safe while helping the economy in our own small way. Be safe!

![]() It's true... I am now living in Corvallis, OR I have acquired many improved skills since I moved here and would love to hear from anyone who needs a multi-skilled landscaper/ handyman. Give me a call or send me an email at merlinhomemagic@gmail.com I just completed a project in May 2014 in the Bloomingdale neighborhood in Washington DC. The client and I worked with the RiverSnmart grant program that gives the homeowner up to $1200 to remove impervious material (such as the concrete in the left before photo) encouraging the installation of a pevious surface such as the EP Henry Eco II pavers used for this project. This link will direct you to the RiverSmart program:
http://ddoe.dc.gov/service/riversmart-homes-pervious-pavers. Here you can join the program and hire myself or any other approved contractor to perform the work. A glorious day after Thanksgiving and planning to be back in DC on December 15th 2013. Post a comment if you need my help during that time.
